This lightweight knitted polyethylene poultry protection netting is perfect for keeping birds safe and secure. The durable material is designed to resist tears. The knitted construction ensures that the netting is flexible and easy to install. It provides protection from predators and other dangers. This netting is a great choice for any poultry farmer looking for a reliable and cost-effective solution for their poultry enclosures.

What material is this made of?

Polyethylene & Polypropylene(not low-quality nylon) Polyethylene & Polypropylene are the industry standard materials for high-quality poultry netting. These materials are designed for continuous use in high UV areas. The UV protection is actually built into the material, not just a surface treatment. The stretchy nylon netting I see sold on other sights might, or might not have a UV surface treatment that will flake off in a couple of years. I hear from my customers again and again that the nylon netting sold by my competitors is falling apart soon after they spend their valuable time installing it. I purchased a canoe in 2012 made out of Polyethylene. These materials, Polyethylene & Polypropylene, last for years even in tropical, high UV areas.

Nylon vs. Polyethylene

Our Polyethylene nets, the UV inhibitors are inside the Polymeric blend that gets extruded into the individual fibers. These fibers are twisted or braided into twine. Since the UV inhibitor is built into the fibers, it can't wear off. Polyethylene doesn't absorb water, doesn't rot, and loses very little strength year to year. Their Nylon nets are coated with a UV inhibitor which tends to wear off in a year or two. Nylon absorbs water, encouraging mold, mildew, and rotting. See picture above. Typically a new nylon net used outside in direct sun will lose 15% to 20% of its tensile strength each year.

How long will this last?

7 to 10 years in high UV areas is what is advertised, but my Grandfather had some of this same netting in continuous use for over 20yrs. and it was still good netting. I have some of it on my farm that has been in use for over 10 years, and it is still very good netting.

Easy Installation

Lightweight pliable & maintenance-free

Nearly Invisible:

won't mar the look of your property

Installation tip:

You can purchase cable ties, hog rings, or zinc snap clips to secure your net on our website supplies page. If you are going to be taking the net down periodically, I highly recommend the zinc snap clips) First, secure the net to one of the short sides of your pen. Pay careful attention to the uniformity of the squares. They should be square not distorted. Then work your way about 2 ft. down one of the long sides. Switch to the other side. Go about 2 ft. Work your way back and forth about every 2 ft. for the entire length of your pen. While installing, pay attention to the overall look of the net. Keep the squares uniform for a better-looking pen. Overly tightening the net will shorten the lifespan.

Why is my netting not the advertised size?

Because this netting is hung on a diamond it can be pulled out to a length much greater than the advertised length. It will come packaged this way because of the way it is manufactured. When you first roll it out it will be much longer than the advertised length. To get the advertised size you will need to pull it out width ways and the length will contract.

When the Netting Is pulled out correctly you should see a square pattern on the netting. To get the advertised size your netting should be hung as pictured.

Below is an example of netting that has been stretched far too long. If your netting looks like this it is installed incorrectly. You will get a really long net but as a result, your netting will contract in width getting a long diamond pattern on the netting. This is how the netting is packaged and is why your netting is longer than you were expecting when you initially unpackage it.

We use 10' 6" 1 3/8 pipes with foot pads on top and bottom. The poles you can pick up from a local hardware store and we sell the foot pads on our website. On the top foot pad we use nets and bolts so the net has something to keep it from sliding off. We also run cable from one end of the pen to the other over top the poles for extra net support. Also we place our poles every 10'. If you have any other questions please let me know.

Why Buy From Us?

We are a family business started by my grandfather over 50 years ago. We intend on being in business for another 50 years. We have over 20 years of experience with netting & have shipped to 10s of thousands of customers worldwide. We only sell quality, well-made products.

Useful for:

Raising any type of poultry, pheasant, waterfowl, etc. Garden barrier. Protect your fruit trees from birds and other animals. Contains golf balls for a driving range. Keeps leave out of your pond or stream.

I recommend the heavier netting if you live in a snow and ice area. The knotted is supposed to have less surface area for snow and ice to cling to, but I have always used the American-made knitted. Most of the netting I am using is light knitted. All this netting is black in color which makes it nearly invisible so that it won't mar the look of your property. I support my netting with a heavy 9 gauge wire. You can also use aircraft cable, or I have a neighbor that supports his netting with greenhouse frames.
